A bit about my day

by Leslie Star » Diary

Today was a long day.  It seemed like the hours dragged on forever.  I was at work till 5:30 which was awful in itself.  I love my job don’t get me wrong, but sometimes the time just passes so slowly.  I think that happens at every job you work at.

I went to the mall on my lunch break and tried to find the game “Fear” at EB Games but no success.  Apparently it has been discontinued..  I just bought a Play Station 3 and I can’t tell you how much I love it.  I have Wii, Super Nintendo, Nintendo and a DS Lite too  but nothing compares to the graphics and the power of the PS3.

The games seem to be a little hard core if a prissy girl were to play it because of all the blood in most of the games but I personally enjoy all that.  I grew up with two boys being my best friends and they were both very much into video games and computers.

The mall was still insane.  I can’t believe people are still going to the malls to get “Deals”… WHaTT DealS?  I went on Boxing Day too and nothing caught my eye.  Everything seemed the same price as it has been all year.  When I was little I remember it being like Black Friday.. Now it’s  really pathetic.

I looked a lot of new shoes.. There were a pair at Feet First I really liked for 169$ and they were Hush Puppies.  They were so comfortable.  I think I am going back tomorrow to buy them.  I HAVE TO HAVE THEM.. You know when you don’t buy something and you think about it all night and until you end up buying them.  Sometimes you wait too long and they don’t carry them anymore and you regret it forever… Well I am not having that happen to me this time.

After I came home from work I ate some BBQ spare ribs… I have been a vegetarian for 9 months and last weekend I caved.  The first thing I at was Jimmy Dean Sausages.. I tried my damnedest to keep it that way but I noticed a lot of bad stuff about being a vegetarian as well.    I started to get black circles around my eyes and I gained more weight because I couldn’t get full off of veggies.  I’m gonna try and not eat a lot of meat because I really feel bad about the animals dying horrible deaths.  I will work on buying meat that is cruelty free.

I have been surfing the net for most of the night… Once I get started playing those damn Facebook games I can’t get off them.  My favorite would have to be Farmville for sure..

Add me if you want  to because I need more neighbors :)

I have to start work at 10:30 tomorrow morning so I get to sleep in a bit :)   I love sleep!

Holidays R Over Till Next Year

Hello.. Did you miss me?  I have been hibernating since the snow has fallen here for like 2 weeks and a bit.  I liked the snow.. and now I HATE IT!  I can’t go anywhere in this sh*t.

How was everyone’s holiday’s?  Mine were great.  I got some money and I bought a Wii.  I also bought Wii Fit, a Tomb Raider game, a sports game, The Sims, Trauma (your a doctor in the game and you have to stitch up the injured), Sonic vs. Mario in the Olympics.  I bought an extra remote and anther nunchuck too.

Let me tell you that after spending about $700.00 it was all worth it.  Especially Wii Fit.  My mom has already lost 5 lbs in about a week and a half of using it every day for an hour.  When you are playing it the time goes by so fast.

I love it so much.  I think I have lost about 3 lbs or so but I don’t use it as much as my mom.  The balance games are the best on there and the boxing rounds really get you sweating.  I also got a digital picture frame, some pj’s, jewerly, a purse, chocolate and lots of other little things.

I bought my friends Dance, Dance, Revolution for Christmas and they brought it to my party I had on New Years Eve.  I was playing it with my socks on and I fell over on my ankle and started sobbing.

I was so embarrassed.  Everyone was pretty good about it though.  My New Year’s was fun too.  We all started watching “Interview With The Vampire” shortly after midnight and we all fell asleep.  I woke up to it still playing at 3am and looked around at the disaster that we had all created.  I made home made confetti with hole punching a bunch of paper and let me tell you.. whoa.. what a mess.! I didn’t want to look at it anymore so I shut off all the christmas lights and closed the blinds and went to bed.

But it was a lot of fun though.  I woke up the next morning and come to find that my friend had cleaned up most of the mess.  I thought that was so nice of her.  The party was at my ex-boyfriends house.  He lets me have parties there but this year he said no confetti but since he got the new Robot vacuum called “Roomba,”  so I let it do the work.

I took the day after New Years day off as well so I wouldn’t have to come back to work for just the Friday.  It was amazing.  4 days off was just what I needed.

I hope all of your holidays were great and you got to spend it with your loved ones.

Tell me what your favorite present was this year.

Celine Dion Concert Review

by Leslie Star » Bruce Springstein, Celine Dion, Concerts, Diary

“Concert Review”

So I went to the Celine Dion concert and it was great.  She has such an amazing voice.

She had about 5 costume changes which were nice but I was hoping for much more.  I was expecting to see something grand like the way Cher does her concerts.  Just wayyyyyyy out there.

First she came out in a pink dress that had a lot of sparkles on it.  It was a short cocktail type of dress.

For her secound costume change she came out in sparkly black pants, a black shirt and this funky hippish vest.

Then the most amazing costume…. A silver and black egyptian type dress with a humungous white cape.  It was the most amazing cape I have ever seen.  It took half the stage up.  She wore that costume for “All Eyes On Me.”  That song has a bit of a egyptian feel in it so I guess she went all out.

That was the most amazing thing at the concert for me.  I really want one.. :)

I saw Renee ( her husband ) sitting in the back stage booth with my binoculars as well.

He didn’t clap for her when she sang but I guess he has probably heard those songs a million times.  Maybe he wanted to focus on her singing or something.

He didn’t stay for the whole concert either.  Unless he moved to another seat or somewhere that I couldn’t see.  I think that they are such a great couple though.  I really see them happily together forever.  It’s really nice to see that in stars.  It makes me really look up to them.

The concert was good except I left kinda wanting more.  She sang for about an hour and 20 minutes and did 1 encore.  ( which wasn’t enough :( )

The concert started at 8 and her opening act was Gordie Brown.  He is a comedian that stars in Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel. He had a show at The Golden Nugget before and he made an estimated $$6 million dollars$$ but now he must be making a hell of a lot more than that for the Celine concert for 6 months as well as working at a higher ended hotel in the heart of the Las Vegas strip.

He was really funny.

Celine sang a few Queen songs which I didn’t go to Celine to hear Queen but I guess she really liked the songs..

Meh…

She sang “My Heart Will Go On” of course and yes.. she did pound her chest.

Overall .. It was a great concert because she sounded amazing.

We then took a cab back to our car and it was stolen…

So overall the concert was great but my night kinda sucked.  I stayed up till 2am driving around looking for it to see if someone had abandoned it anywhere..

No luck..

Damn..
